What do you do to prepare for your appointment?

Weeks prior

Ø Begin drinking plenty of water in the weeks leading up to your appointment. It will help keep your skin hydrated and elastic, making tattooing easier and less painful.

Ø Apply a gentle moisturizer to the area where you want to get tattooed every day for at least a week before your appointment. It will help prevent dryness and flaking, which can affect the ink quality and healing.

Ø Use a mild, yet effective exfoliant to remove any dead skin cells and dirt from the are where you want to get tattooed once or twice a week before you’re appointment. This will help create a smooth surface for the ink and prevent clogging of the pores.

Ø Avoid sun exposure or tanning  in the area you want tattooed for at least one week before you’re appointment. Sunburns can damage your skin, making it more sensitive and prone to bleeding. Use at LEAST 30 SPF if you must be outside.

On the night before you’re appointment

Ø If you have hair in the area you want to get shaved, shave the area the night before. This makes it easier for the artists and helps prevent ingrown hairs and infections, careful not to nic yourself while shaving.

Ø Get a good nights sleep, shower before you’re appointment

On the day of you’re appointment

Ø The day of you’re appointment, wash the area with a mild soap and pat it dry with a clean towel. Avoid lotions, perfumes and makeups on the area.

Ø Eat! Hydrate! Eat! Hydrate! If you do not eat, you can and will pass out!!! I am on a time schedule, IF YOU PASS OUT, THE APPOINTMENT IS OVER, AND MONEY IS NON REFUNDABLE!!! Wear comfortable clothes!

*****DO NOT FORGET YOUR ID!!!!*** it is required by state law!!
